Jan is a chartered civil engineer in Slovakia and the United Kingdom. He specialises in the design of steel, concrete and coupled bridges and the assessment of large span structures. He has completed more than 50 projects in Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Sweden and Denmark.
The bulk of his career has been with Atkins. He gained extensive experience in project management, asset management, value engineering and carrier systems optimization.
In Slovakia, he founded the engineering and consulting company D-Phase, which consists of a team of experts with international experience in the field of statics and design of engineering and civil engineering structures. The company’s vision is to bring world-class quality to projects and to promote the sustainability of buildings using the latest technologies.
